"Undercover" tells the story of Han Jung Hyun, who has long been hiding his identity, and Choi Yeon Soo, a human rights lawyer who becomes the head of the first senior public employee's corruption investigation, to fight for justice.

First of all, Ji Jin Hee Han Jung Hyun's character represents the National Security Planning Agency, which has long been anonymous to him. He is known for his extraordinary speed and courage, and during a top-secret mission, he falls in love with Choi Yeon Soo and eventually marries her. However, his secret life is caught up in an uncontrollable whirlpool when his wife is appointed to the Senior Civil Service's Fraud Investigation Unit.

Kim Hyun Joo's character Choi Yeon Soo is a human rights lawyer who lives for justice and truth. In recognition of her lifelong beliefs and skills, she was named the first head of the Senior Public Workers' Fraud Investigation Unit. Little did she know that her new position would force her to face the startling truth.
